In partnership with USAID, Project Last Mile has identified two enterprises that are developing innovative diagnostic assays and who would benefit from Project Last Mile’s technical assistance. We are therefore seeking an agency that can assist in providing technical assistance, specifically across clinical expertise, to these two biomedical technology enterprises. The technical assistance will centre on mPox, Swinepox and Lassa Virus diagnostic assays. The technical assistance will be led by a PLM expert, with the successful agency reporting to that individual.

Nudging people towards COVID-19 vaccination in South Africa
Behavioral nudges can help improve vaccine uptake, but there have been limited studies on this in low- and middle-income countries, especially in Africa. To support the ongoing efforts of the National Department of Health and partners in accelerating the uptake of COVID-19 vaccines, Project Last Mile collaborated with Ipsos to undertake the first nationally representative study in South Africa. The study aimed to understand and explore the feasibility of incentive programs and behavioral nudges to improve COVID-19 vaccination rates.
